At
the age of nine I started to play the piano and started to play the guitar when
I was fourteen. My favorite guitarist is Miyavi. In my opinion Miyavi is the
best guitarist in the world. If I can choose to be one famous person, I will
choose to be him.
Miyavi is a Japanese
singer-songwriter, guitarist and record producer. He is an ex-guitarist of the
visual-kei rock band named Due'le Quartz. At that time his stage name was ‘Miyabi’
which means ‘elegant’. He started his solo career in 2004 and changed his stage
name to ‘Miyavi’. After he released his debut album Gagaku
and his promote video, ‘Girls, be Ambitious’, he lost some of his old fan club
from his Due'le Quartz days. It appeared that Miyabi and Miyavi
are absolutely different (I still love him anyway). However, he had amassed a
very large new fan club (I’m one of them, of course).
He was going on to release
multiple singles and another album. About two years later, in late 2004, he was
signed to Universal Records Japan, making the transition from Indies to major
and he still carries on his "youthful and flamboyant" image to his
solo career(I think he’s just crazy).
Some of his songs are hard for
me to understand sometimes. It looks like he doesn’t have a certain style to
write a song. His work is chaos in both sound and delivery. Some songs have
nothing, but screaming and some are beautiful and brilliant. My favorite song
of him is ‘kimi ni negai wo’. It’s an easiest and softest song of him to listen
I think...
By the way, his guitar solo in ‘selfish love’ PV is awesome. I hope that
I can play the guitar like him someday. I have to practice more and more to
make that happen.
